Key Features
The Portmeirion Chandelier by Currey & Company is a cool, contemporary addition to spaces with a nautical feel. Designed by Clarence Mallari, who found inspiration in the movies during the pandemic, this design was pulled from a fascination with the shape and function of a lifebuoy and how to translate it into lighting. A wrought iron frame provides the foundation for abaca rope to be wrapped around, lending a casual, textural touch to the openly styled, round shape of this chandelier. Suspended by a thin wire to mimic the floating quality of its inspiration, the inside of this piece houses a set of exposed bulbs that bring a bright layer of illumination to its surroundings.
