Shocked to learn that the shade is NOT a shade. It is a piece of plastic that you have to roll up to "make" a shade. Really?!? Do not buy. Very unhappy!
Great looking light, easy to install.
Simple, modern lamp. Looks great in our living room. Very easy to install. We love it!
Great looks, solid construction, but not so easy to install
I love the way the fixture looks. It casts a wonderfully diffuse light. The housing is rugged, well-made, and water tight. Wiring it up was another thing all together. Following the included instructions placed the wires inside the housing and in front of the reflector. No amount of gymnastics could fit the wires and wire nuts behind the reflector. The mold pattern on the rear of the housing also makes it hard to set the unit flush with an exterior wall and I ended using more sealant than I would have liked.
Luceplan
Established in 1978 by architects Riccardo Sarfatti, Paolo Rizzatto and Sandra Severi, Luceplan defined its goal of democratic quality design, free of stylistic clichés and opulence, from the very onset. This approach--soon acknowledged by the market and numerous international awards--was perfected when Alberto Meda, an engineer with a passionate love for design, joined the team in 1984.
