Paola Navone reimagines the natural-forming design of the pinecone into a fascinating vessel of light in her Pinecone Table Lamp from FontanaArte. It makes any table an instant focal point in the home. Craftsmen meticulously bend and weld together a myriad of fine metal segments into a captivating design of flowing lines. The rounded needles of the pinecone are brought to life elegantly with plump hints of glass, formed when molten glass is blown just a touch over the rounded metal framework. A single bulb is all it takes to set the mesmerizing design ablaze with soothing ambient light.
Renowned Italian architect, designer and painter Gio Ponti founded FontanaArte in 1932 as the artistic division of glassmaker Luigi Fontana. Ponti used Fontana glass to design lighting filled with his own visionary brand of sensuous, poetic modernism. Today, more than 75 years later, the innovative artists at FontanaArte continue Pontis legacy, creating expressive and transformative modern lighting designs.
