Great Fan. Not so great "SimpleConnect."

hunterfan.comI purchased two of these fans last week, and installed the first yesterday. Now that I have installed the first fan, I love the look and operation of the fan. The fan is quiet, has multiple speeds, the light is dimmable and the wall switch is an addition i required. I have two criticisms. First, the fan blades install from the bottom, but it is extremely difficult to line the screw holes up with the openings in the bottom of the fan. In the end, I managed to get one screw in each and then lifted up slightly on the blade to align the other screw holes. I've never had this much trouble with a ceiling fan before. My second criticism is of the SimpleConnect instructions for adding this fan to HomeKit. The process in the Hunter SimpleConnect app simply did not work for me, Following at least 2 hours of trying, I discovered how to reset the fan's wi-fi on the internet. After turning the fan off, on and then pressing the fan up/down buttons until I heard a beep, I then joined the new wi-fi network the fan created. From there I went directly into Apple Home, and added the fan. These instructions were not in the paper manual included with the fan, nor were they in the app. I've installed numerous HomeKit devices over the past several years, and this was by far the hardest and most frustrating. And this could have been prevented with better documentation.

hunterfan.comSame comment as for the 60" model ... It's a nice fan but it's hard to rationalize that it cost more than 5 times the price of the Hunter Aerodyne fans that I purchased for my bedrooms.

Comments about Phenomenon LED Ceiling Fan
Love my new fan makes a huge difference to my space. The only complaint I have is the wiring was not long enough to accommodate a 7 foot extension bar. It is just newly installed so I can't speak of the longevity but the motor is quiet the blades are smooth And the dimmable light is nice for setting a mood. I'd like that. It has a wall switch as opposed to a remote control.

Not even hung a year and falling apart

hunterfan.comI bought this fan and didn't hang it until this year. Haven't had it up even a year yet and the blades look moist/ wet. The design is beautiful but the lack of use for indoor open space living room is upsetting when I spent so much money to buy the fan and even pay someone to hang it. I have it hung indoor, about 12 ft ceiling, never had issue with our old fan with any moisture. So upset that it didn't show the wetness during the return time frame. So much money down the drain!

Hunter Fans
In 1886, the foundation for Hunter Fans was laid when John Hunter and his son, John C. Hunter, engineered the first water-driven ceiling fan for Tuerk Water Meter Co. in Syracuse, NY. By 1896, they had acquired Tuerk company, transforming it into the Hunter Fan & Motor Co. and launching the AC-powered Tuerk Type A fan in Fulton, NY. Over the years, Hunter expanded its product line to include oscillating desk fans, pedestal fans, attic fans, air conditioning units, air purifiers, humidifiers and even decorative lighting.
