Very nice and illuminates well.
The 16-in, chalk light was installed at the interior front entrance of our house, along a far wall of an ~10 x ~20 sq ft. Because of its location, we intentionally did not install it with a dimmer. The lamp provides very good illumination of the area, and the color temperature is perfect (the area has many window and skylights). We ordered this lamp for the flush mount (the house ceiling is a little less than 8 ft), and the chalk aesthetic is a nice change from (a) fabric covers and (b) smooth/generic lamp covers. The smaller lamp would make an excellent hallway lamp or bedroom lamp. It's a discrete modern presentation of lighting art.
