Derived from a 1971 partnership between Achille Castiglioni and Pio Manzù, the Parentesi Suspension Floor Lamp from FLOS takes its name from the parenthesis symbol, mirroring the nickel-plated tube that slides along a floor-to-ceiling steel cable. I moved my Parentesi to every house i lived. The lamp is iconic and it provides the right light for reading or to light corner and corridor. I am using at the moment as a side bed ligth and it is so classy

Installation was relatively easy (read the instructions!) and the light is a great solution for the small corner I put it in - can be used as an accent light, adjusted to a reading light, and back.

Just installed the light yesterday. Looks great and I love that it's minimalistic and sleek. Definitely gives off enough light for a dark corner. I also like how it can be used just for mood lighting. As you can see from the photo I have an exposed concrete pillar, that at night when I have the light shining in it, looks really cool.
