Bringing the calm light and silhouette of the moon inside the home. Handcrafted in Japan’s Gifu region for over 90 years, the Paper Moon Globe Table Lamp from Asano creates a memorable atmosphere as a simply beautiful lantern. The table lamp’s pure globe shape makes this an enduring visual with a range of home styles. Artisans in Japan craft the sphere using a fine wire armature and bamboo ribbing. The ribbing gets the eyes scanning around. Texture-filled washi paper gives the piece its familiar soft character and the light a diffused touch. When turned on, the lamp fills up with a golden hue to create an intimate ambient glow.
