The Panthella LED Table Lamp from Louis Poulsen uses Verner Panton's original drawings to produce an organically shaped lamp with a metal shade. Initially designed in 1971, the design was created at a time when it was not technologically feasible to produce a lamp following Panton's first drawings. This 2016 introduction is made with an eye towards sustainably and features a metal shade with state-of-the-art LED technology with timing cutoffs, inside instead of a glass shade. Panton developed Panthella with a pleasant organic shape and a rounded shade to reflect light downwards so that it diffuses evenly throughout any room. This small table lamp gives soft illumination ideal for areas like window sills, shelves, side tables, and other smaller surfaces in modern or retro-modern homes.

Love our Mini Panthella

The Panthella came in beautiful packaging, it was easy to install, and the quality is apparent. The light is low and mostly direct but it does reflect off the highly polished base so you do get a slight amount of indirect light as well. I plan on eventually getting a full sized Panthella table lamp to pair with it or maybe even another Mini. It pairs exceptionally well with our Panton wall panel!

Of course I love the shape and color. However, I have both the large and medium of the same lamp and I didn't realise that no light would shine through the top globe, so actually gives off very little light. I needed it for a low, small table so didn't work well. I wouldn't buy another one. Will have to find something else.
