The Oldmill Wall Sconce from Minka-Lavery features a tall, pill-shaped glass panel with a swirling, cloud-like texture throughout its surface, mounted directly against a round metal backplate. The panel sits close to the wall, with the glass projecting outward just enough to allow light to diffuse around its full perimeter. The textured interior of the glass shifts in appearance as the light source activates, moving between more translucent and more opaque areas depending on the density of the pattern. A single small metal stud at the top of the glass secures it to the backplate.
