Odyn LED Indoor/Outdoor Ceiling Fan

Needed a fan for a large living room with a cathedral ceiling. Ordered this with a 3' downrod, so that the bottom of the fan is 9' from the ground (see the helpful Lumens FAQ on ceiling fans). The large bladespan meant I didn't have to install two fans. Price was great, plus the fan moves air at a rate of 11190 CFM. I've also had good experiences in the past with the reliability of Fanimation fans. The Odyn has now been installed, and it's beautiful, moves a lot of air, and is whisper quiet!

After placing the order with Lumens a customer rep. called me and said they had discovered a perceived error with the order. I had ordered an additional downrod and mistakenly selected the wrong color, glad to see the ordered actually get reviewed for accuracy before being filled - saved me a week of delays. As for the fan, the quality, fit and finish and ease of install is all what I hoped for. Nice finish color. The fan moves air far better than expected in our outdoor area.

The fan really adds to the room in a beautiful and positive way. Although is is not going to blow a lot of air on you (due to the size of the fan), it does move a lot of air. It was not difficult to put up, but was on the heavy side. Very happy with the purchase. I have had many positive comments. Lumens had the best price on this fan. Please note it has been discontinued and I believe the price is a little steep for this type of fan.

I installed this fan on a high beam ceiling with a 48" drop pole. The DC motor is completely silent and if I didn't feel the breeze I wouldn't know it was there. It comes with a remote which works well but, I would have liked to have a wired wall mount control as well. Also, I was hoping to be able to install a receiver so I could control from my Android but was told that was not yet possible with the DC motor. Anyway, I love this fan and everyone who sees it is very impressed.
