A smooth, tasteful demonstration of modern lighting forms, the Nordic Pendant from Maxim Lighting evokes a pleasing sense of flow within the home with its simple form. A wide-mouthed, bowl-shaped shade forms the body of the piece and repeats throughout the form, mirrored twice above the body, separated by a band of white opal glass. The tasteful silhouette is enhanced by a single bulb resting within a clear housing that slightly focuses the glow as it sits beneath the shade.

Maxim Lighting

Back in 1965, Jacob Sperling came to Los Angeles to study aeronautical engineering. Inspired by a job working for a lighting retailer, he turned his mechanical skills to the manufacture of lighting fixtures, building them in his garage and selling them out of his station wagon. In 1970, he brought brother Zvi on to help, and Maxim Lighting was born.
