Nina Floor Torchiere

I bought two of these lamps to provide ambient lighting in our family room. The quality is very good, including the finish. Some assembly was required, and went well. I especially like the dimmer feature, although you must be careful to buy the correct dimmable bulbs!

Bought this for my infant daughter's room but it's not quite bright enough. I will probably need another since it's only 150 W. It looks really nice, though, and I like that it's not a "kid" lamp. It's also heavy enough at the base that I'm not worried she will easily pull it over. The dimmer is also a nice feature. Lumens' customer service was also excellent.

The lamp took a long time to arrive. The very helpful Lumens customer service person informed me that Robert Abbey does not ship quickly. The lamp arrived in fine condition due to being packaged well. It is a great looking, simple modern lamp that lights my living room perfectly. Very easy to put together too. My only complaint is that the finish is shiny chrome - not the polished nickel as described.

If you're looking for a clean, modern design that actually provides enough light and doesn't cost a fortune, this is a good choice. Feels solid and has a nice sturdy base. My favorite feature is the full-range dimmer on the lamp's column; placed slightly higher than midway up, it's much easier to use than a foot/floor dimmer, as well as being a nice design element. My only negative is that the instruction sheet had the name of a different lamp on it; turns out the instructions were basically the same, so it wasn't a problem (the company doesn't have a sheet specifically for this model, which was explained to me by one of Lumens' always-wonderful service reps).
