This is exactly as we had hoped. We have the Large Saucer version in our dining room. Within the same sightline we have a foyer with an old dumpy light. We went with the Large Cigar and it is just right. I would say with these Bubble Lamps that one should err on the side of "bigger". And, if you're wishing the fixture was brighter try our fix -- buy a twin-socket adapter. Using this we can put two 100 watt LED bulbs in which really makes the pendant shine, and the shade is such a high quality that you don't see the double-ness of the light sources. The appropriate dimmer switch then gives ultimate flexibility.
