Better Than the Knock-Off
I have both the licensed Vitra and a cheaper knock-off version of the multi-colored ball clock. Both keep good time but i bought the clock for the look and the Vitra looks much better. The biggest difference is the color of the clock face. The Vitra's is bright white. The knock-off's is yellowish. Side-by-side, the Vitra is clean and bright and the knock-off is dingy.
Expensive dust collectors that don't keep time..
Have purchased a couple of these Nelson clocks. As wall decorations they're fine, but don't expect them to keep reliable time. Even with fresh batteries, the timing mechanisms do not live up to the design legacy. If I could get a refund, I would, or maybe I just purchased a couple of lemons?

So disappointed. It looked great out of the box and when I put it on the wall, I was so happy. Then I noticed the second hand wasn't moving. They sent a second click and it stopped working after 2 days. I give up.
