Nelson Ball Bubble Wall Sconce

We were looking for a modern fixture for our nursery and this sconce is perfect! It gives off great light and looks terrific. It's a little tricky to hang but once it's up, you'll love it.

The light is everything I expected..and more. We installed the light on the wall..with minimum effort..but when we went to screw in the lightbulb the socket on the light was bent..(hard to believe it would be sent out like this). Anxious as we were to see the light turned on..we bent the socket (with some major effort) to a round position so it would accept a light bulb..once we turned the light on..all our frustrations vanished. Thank you George Nelson.

This is the third I've purchased; they flank my bed (without crowding nightstands) and provide ambient light in my master bath (without taking valuable counter space). I have them all on lamp dimmers and they emit a gorgeous glow as well as enough light by which to read. All three lamps were made by Modernica, but I've purchased them from three different sources: Modernica, Y-Living and Design Within Reach. Only two of three match. The one purchased directly from Modernica (delivered this past week) doesn't match that which is shown on their site -- which I'm viewing as I type this. Apparently, there are two different styles/shapes of the metal rod which supports the lamp cord and suspends the shade from the wall. The one from Y-living matches those currently pictured on the Modernica site with the a square-ish rod. The ones I received from DWR and from Modernica have a much broader arching curve from the wall. Strangely, the literature accompanying the square one from Y-living pictures the curved arm, instead. As I have two in one room and one in another, it wasn't a big deal, but if I'd been trying to match two it would have been a giant problem. The wooden wall mounts are a different size and they extend a different distance from the wall. I'm happy with what I've got, but buyer beware: you should be clear on what you're going to receive, particularly if you're trying to match something existing or fit within a specific space. That which is shown on the Modernica website is not what I received from Modernica.

Did a lot of web comparison before purchasing. "Y" consistently came up at the lowest price--even considering the odd promotion at other sites. My (museum quality) lights came really quickly, in perfect shape...like the headline says, I'm extremely pleased.
