Inspired by the finely-threaded tassels of Venetian textile work, it was designed by Marco Zito and made in Italy, using a body of brushed metal and an upper cap of solid brass extending from a rod attached to a dome wall mount to provide a unique look. The conical metal shade housing descends from a sleek spherical accent, concealing the direct glare of integrated LED lamping at eye level. Finally, a curtain of robust pyrex glass rods forms the stylized fringe of the tassel, taking on reflected light and a life of their own.
