The Mistral Area Rug from Toulemonde Bochart uses tone-on-tone tufting to suggest the traces sea foam leaves behind on wet sand. Studio TB shaped the wool pile in low relief by hand, so light catches that texture differently depending on the time of day and the angle at which it hits. The wool itself comes from India, keeping the pattern subtle and soft-edged throughout.
