B.lux was started in 1981 in Markina in Spain's Basque Country on the Northern Iberian Peninsula. To this day, they still operate in the region from the picturesque town of Gizaburuaga, in facilities which contain warehousing, manufacturing and a 2,000 square-foot showroom. A leader in contemporary lighting design, each product is artisanal by nature–created by a person, for a person. Honoring commitments to sustainable lighting and improving conditions of human living, each efficient, modern piece is made with responsibly sourced materials. Ninety percent of raw materials used originate from Spain and the wood used meets sustainability criteria established by the PEFC.
