Daventry Bath Bar

I have two of these installed in a bath. I agree with another review in that it is difficult to remove the 4 hex screws to change bulbs. A tool must be used so you must have clearance on both sides of the fixture for hands and tools. Also this fixture gets extremely hot if the supplied incandescent bulbs are used. I addressed both problems by using LED bulbs. They run much cooler and I hope replacement will be infrequent.

I bought this fixture because I was looking for a contemporary design for a modern renovation of an older home. The design of the Daventry is great because with its clean lines it looks modern without being trendy. It reminded me of a fixture you might see in a 1930s bistro in Paris. The polished nickel cage holds three white frosted glass panels which when lit create a soft, diffused light. The installation was clear and easy. It comes in multiple lengths so I was able to use them for two different sized vanities.

I recently purchased this fixture for a client and although visually lovely it is one of the most difficult fixtures to change a light bulb I have ever encountered! I have mine mounted horizontally and in order to change the light bulbs one is required to unscrew all four screws top and bottom, remove the glass and then reassemble. Crazy!
