The Hold Pin 1.21 Mini Pendant by SkLO is an expressive display of handblown Czech glasswork. Designed by the brands founding duo, Paul Pavlak and Karen Gilbert, this organically shaped design embraces their love of honest materials and simple, subtly beautiful pieces. A continuous, curved, brass pin suspends an individually made glass vessel that is formed without the use of a mold, resulting in a unique piece that has a softly curved handle above its body. The open arc allows a brass cup and socket attached to a fabric wrapped cord to be draped within this glass piece, so a layer of light can highlight its beautiful silhouette and the environment around it.

SkLO

Located in Northern California, SkLO is the brainchild of artist Karen Gilbert, architect Paul Pavlak, and Czech-native Pavel Hanousek. The three met in Healdsburg in 2009, and after discovering a unanimous passion for hand-blown glass (sklo means “glass” in Czech), they decided to create a multi-disciplinary studio focusing on glass lighting and accessory design.
