Metamorphosis Vase

The Metamorphosis Vase from Bomma displays hand-cut geometric facets carved into mouth-blown crystal. Designer Rony Plesl developed intricate motifs that master cutters at Nižbor glassworks apply through intensive manual work, with each piece requiring most of a day to complete. Small variations in the pattern reveal the hand-cut process, where sustained concentration prevents errors that would compromise the piece. The geometric treatment draws inspiration from natural quartz crystallization, while maintaining an architectural quality through its precise lines.
