The Melt LED Pendant from Tom Dixon suspends an inspired orb with an organic outline and a matching ceiling rose above, creating an expressive profile that suits contemporary and avant-garde interiors alike. Polycarbonate gives the shade a glossy mirror-like appearance when unlit, then becomes translucent with a hot-blown glass effect once illuminated. The LED light glows through the surface, creating depth within the rounded shape. Hang it over a bedside table, counter, or entry area, or group it for a more layered installation.

Tom Dixon

Tom Dixon was founded in 2002 with a lofty goal: to revive the British furniture industry. Even as it was founded, the company already had a sort of rebellious, inventive reputation based on the preceding career of the man himself. Dixon, a self-taught designer and welder first burst onto the scene in 1987 with his S-chair for Cappellini.
