I installed this light for a client and it needs some improvements for install. 1. the means to secure the fixture requires a knot in the cord inside the electrical box and to do this 9' up is challenging once you slide the cord through the all thread rod. Per their directions. the all thread rod has no plastic protection inside the rod to protect the cord 2. if you are installing this fixture to a pancake box it wont work. you need a a full depth ceiling box. 3. the metal plate that goes inside the globe to hold the globe in place has very little tolerance to insert it. Its very tight and I was afraid I would break the globe. Getting a light bulb inside the fixture once you have the socket base inside the globe requires two hands to hold the globe while trying to screw the bulb in 4. the canopy is very shallow and I was not able to snug the canopy to the ceiling as the hardware that mounts to the box was keeping it from getting snugged up. I would recommend the Mfg provide a deeper canopy 5. the cord is fabric coated and when you pull the fixture components around the cord the fabric frays.
