The Maris Chandelier from Maxim Lighting features a contemporary avant-garde design with three curved arms extending from a central rod, each supporting a wide leaf-shaped shade with a gently dipped center. Steel shapes the rod, arms, and shades, giving the fixture a fluid line that flows downward from the ceiling. Maxim Lighting

Back in 1965, Jacob Sperling came to Los Angeles to study aeronautical engineering. Inspired by a job working for a lighting retailer, he turned his mechanical skills to the manufacture of lighting fixtures, building them in his garage and selling them out of his station wagon. In 1970, he brought brother Zvi on to help, and Maxim Lighting was born.
