A 1977 design by Vico Magistretti, its form is a profound illustration of his love of geometric simplicity, starting with a round wall mount that holds up a vertical rod of chromed and lacquered metal. This rod extends a single curving arm upwards, terminating in a candelabra-style socket set within a clear polycarbonate globe held within a hoop near the top of the rod. This arrangement keeps the structure light while reducing any glare to the sides, enriching its surroundings with a refined presence.

Founded by Guiseppe Ostuni in 1945, Oluce is one of the oldest Italian lighting companies specializing in iconic contemporary lighting for the home and office. While Oluce lighting has its roots in traditional Murano glass blowing techniques, things changed in the mid-1950s when Oluce moved in a more industrial-minded direction, resulting in highly contemporary designs with an edgy and dramatic flair.
