The Lismore Cake Knife & Server Set from Waterford pairs two serving implements with matching crystal handles. Both pieces feature the pattern's characteristic wedge and diamond cuts, maintaining visual continuity across the set. Miroslav Havel's original 1952 design referenced Lismore Castle's Gothic architecture, a heritage that is carried through in these handles. The crystal provides substantial weight for controlled cutting and serving motions. Waterford's craftspeople hand-cut each handle individually, ensuring consistent patterns between the knife and server.

Waterford

Founded in 1783 by brothers George and William Penrose in the Irish city of Waterford, Waterford Crystal has long stood as a symbol of elegance, refinement, and cultural prestige. Rooted in the Georgian era’s neoclassical ideals, the company quickly established itself by crafting exceptionally clear and beautifully cut crystal, praised for its brilliance and weight. The brand’s mastery in traditional hand-cutting techniques—carried out by highly skilled artisans in its home of Ireland—has remained virtually unchanged for over two centuries, and continues today in its House of Waterford facility, where craftsmen apprentice for eight years to perfect their art.
