An engaging yet simple design. The 172 Pendant from Le Klint is an example of modern origami. The White plastic foil shade is pressed into the desired shape and then hand-folded into its three-dimensional form. First created in 1971, the Le Klint 172 Pendant is a retro design by Poul Christiansen that is capable of fitting in with a wide range of settings, such as either a kitchen or an assembly hall.

Comments about 172 Pendant

Looks amazing over my kitchen table, providing the exact retro modern look I wanted. In case you're wondering, the ceiling cap is a plain round white metal piece. #sweepstakes

Perfect for over our dining table. Light output is not too bright, which is what we were looking for. Good value for the design impact in the room.

Beautiful Yet Subtle

I've loved this lamp for a long time, but occasionally ran across knock offs that didn't have the right look. When I was serious about breakfast room lamp replacement, I found the original and knew this was exactly what I remembered and wanted. I purchased it through Lumens because they have such great customer service. I installed it myself with basic electrical knowledge. Like others I don't love the plastic cone but it is not what you see when you look at the light. I used a antique dimmable LED bulb inside to give it that warm incandescent light look. Love it!

Love how it looks in my Family room. When lit, it gives a nice glow and I can appreciate the curvy lines of the shade even better

Le Klint

Tage Klint pioneered the family handicraft business in Denmark in 1943, inspired by P.F. Jensen-Klint's invention of the pleated lampshade. Tage added the elastic collar to the top of the shade to better keep the pleats from unraveling. The business was passed down to Tage's son, Jan Klint, in 1953, who still runs the company.
