My wife and I purchased two lights from the Larmes collection, the 9-Light Linear Pendant and the 24-Light Pendant Chandelier. They are stunning lights when operational. However, they have a significant issue with remaining operational. In the two years since we purchased the lights, we have twice had to change the electronic transformers inside the fixtures. Because these fixtures utilize Xenon bulbs, they have internal transformers that serve to reduce the incoming power. These transformers also make the lights dimmable. Each fixture has two of these electronic transformers, which must be changed out by an electrician, as the fixtures are not easy to take down and repair without knowledgeable assistance. Each transformer is $50 from the manufacturer, and having someone remove and install the new transformers costs upwards of $100. So in these past two years we have spent an additional $400 repairing these lights. If it had been only one of these lights I would have assumed that this was due to some aberrant manufacturer's defect. However, now that I have had both fixtures fail in the exact same way, I am certain this is either a design flaw or just poor craftsmanship. My house was built from the ground up and the electrical system is only two years old. Independent electricians have assessed the whole electrical system all the way to the utility pole and neither have found any issues with the system itself. Both agree that the issues are in the fixtures. For the price of these fixtures, I would have expected a much better product. Buyer beware.
