Add an intricate illumination to side tables and workspaces alike with the Laito Gentle Table Lamp from Seed Design. An inspired industrial fixture with a matte-textured steel structure, it seats a slender stem at the back end of a disc base, supporting a single, adjustable arm enhanced by smooth-surfaced accent pieces that contrast the larger surface sections. Illumination is provided by bright lamping placed inside a posable, bell-shaped shade set inside a yoke-style mount. The shade obscures bright light to the sides, sending out a mix of direct downlight escorted by a gentle glow from its reflective interior, ideal for task use wherever a focused wash of light is needed.
Starting from pure ambition and passion, Chao-Cheng decided shortly after receiving a degree in Engineering that his heart just wasn’t in it. After noticing that the values of design and patents were not appreciated or respected, Chao-Chen wanted to show the world that Taiwan can create original designs and compete with the rest of the world in creativity and innovation. He rented an office and started Seed Design with only six original designs. Seed Design has had their share of ups and downs, but passion and determination has always been the backbone and driving force. Proving that the statement "passion reads” does ring true.
