The J178 Lonstrup Papercord Dining Chair from FDB Møbler draws inspiration from the windswept Northern Jutland landscape. Designer Stine Lundgaard Weigelt reduced the form to essential elements, reflecting the minimal character of the coastal region around Lønstrup. This approach creates a chair that works individually or in multiples across dining and living spaces. The design references familiar forms from Danish furniture history while maintaining contemporary expression, with proportions that balance structural needs against visual lightness.

FDB Møbler

Based in Albertslund, Denmark, FDB Møbler remains a torchbearer of timeless Danish design—producing sustainable, high-quality furniture intended to endure both physically and stylistically for generations. In 1942, amid a world dominated by heavy, ornate furnishings accessible only to the privileged few, a quiet revolution began in Denmark.
