Evoking the nostalgia of blowing bubbles on a sunny day, the Hubble Bubble LED Oval 7 Chandelier by Moooi is a luminous ode to youth, lightness, and freedom. Designed by Marcel Wanders, this whimsical piece features a slender metal ring that hangs from a set of nearly invisible cables. Seven glass orbs line the ring, glowing vibrantly with light from integrated LEDs. The piece can be installed either vertically or horizontally, allowing for a unique lighting arrangement, whether hung alone or as part of a set. This chandelier uses a process of coating thin and delicate conductive layers called Electrosandwich, which allows it to draw low-voltage current from the frame. This wouldn't be possible with regular wires.
Moooi creates modern pendant lighting, lamps, and a unique array of suspension lighting. Founded by Marcel Wanders and first presented in 2001, Moooi creates products that satisfy the customers desire for individual style, and features designers such as Ross Lovegrove and Erwin Olaf.
