A simple study in echoing parallels, the fixture uses two slim cables that stretch down from a sleek rectangular steel canopy to suspend twin wooden bars held apart in a ladderlike configuration by shorter slats. This arrangement is the ideal width to suspend the piece’s pivoting lamping, which is set wholly inside the cylindrical shades that surround them with smooth interior surfaces that focus a potent wash of light below.
The start of its success was in 1969, when Ludwig Obwieser created Eglo Leuchten. Development of new markets opened the opportunity to establish more than 70 business premises all over the world. Today, Eglo is globally classed as one of the most successful suppliers of decorative home lighting.
