The Helio Wall Sconce from Niche gives its surroundings a measured, artisanal modern appeal, enriching a structure of solid, contemporary simplicity. Designed by Jeremy Pyles and extending from a stepped, rectangular wall plate, it uses a single angular arm along the centerline of the fixture to support downward-facing lamping. The lamping is accompanied by a capsule-shaped shade of handblown glass that races down around it, transforming bright glare into a more mellow glow, accompanied by a focused wall wash that shines through the shade’s open base.

Niche

Niche was founded by accident. In 2003, Jeremy Pyles and Mary Welch were in the process of opening a home furnishings store in Manhattan, called Niche, but couldn't find inspiring display lighting for the storefront. So Pyles designed a glass pendant and had it custom blown in New York (where all Niche products are still hand-blown).
