Hand blowing glass masters in the Czech Republic produce a subtle silhouette with a low-profile cylindrical base and a round bowl. The clean-cut forms join together while hot, making them more stable and alluring. The two transparent colors of the glass meet below, producing a fascinatingly new color.

SkLO

Located in Northern California, SkLO is the brainchild of artist Karen Gilbert, architect Paul Pavlak, and Czech-native Pavel Hanousek. The three met in Healdsburg in 2009, and after discovering a unanimous passion for hand-blown glass (sklo means “glass” in Czech), they decided to create a multi-disciplinary studio focusing on glass lighting and accessory design.
