great blend of traditional and modern

Reviewed at
hinkleylighting.comI bought this in oiled bronze for a bedroom in an old farmhouse (c 1875). I love the combination of a traditional shape (school-house like) and modern white matte glass! The floating matte glass shade creates a relaxing visual effect. Note the glass is entirely open on top, so bugs can get in during warmer months - simply clean out as needed (once a month or so).
Great quality

Great light! Definitely an oil rubbed bronze color, not black, although it's very dark. Also, the glass is an etched/matte white. It is not as creamy in the photo and I don't know why I assumed it would be a shiny, milk glass type glass, but it's not. I think that's probably my own fault for not paying closer attention. Still decided to keep it because it's really great! Just the photos are a little hard to tell.
