Pricey, but nicely made and attractive
For what these are, they seem quite expensive. Since I do the lighting as a volunteer for a non-profit gallery, and since money is always tight, we put off this purchase for some time. I was finally able to free up a few bucks and bought four of these 24" extensions. They are very nicely made, quite sturdy, and nicely finished. They solved a small problem very nicely. I could use several more. Perhaps next time there's a sale....
Adequate, if a little disappointing
I volunteer for a local non-profit gallery. I've purchased and installed 60 of these heads in our track system. The first 54 were fine -- just as expected, decent quality, have held up well over the last four years. But this most recent order of six fixtures was disappointing. The thumb-screws used to tighten the heads at the desired angle have been replaced by rivets, although the photo for this item on Y-Lighting's site still shows the thumbscrews. The product looks cheaper (it wasn't). While the rivets may do the job fine, if the fixtures ever become loose or sloppy, there's no way to tighten them. Disappointing. The first 54 I ordered get five stars. These last six don't.
What a Difference in our Displays
The extensions allowed us to bring the lighting down and truely highlight our displays. Very easy to install and professional looking. Even our customers comment on the difference these make.
These extensions are well constructed and do a great job of
I recently mounted an art show in a gallery space that was refitted with 36" extensions from a 16' ceiling track height. Bringing the heads down to 13' took better advantage of the photometrics of the lower wattage bulbs and yet kept the heads well up out of the way visually. The result was a dramatic showing of the art, well received by all. This product has taken a difficult and problematic space and made it a gem of a gallery!
Makes life easier at Indigo Gallery
Your Extensions for the Line Voltage Track Heads have made our lives so much easier. We no longer have to bring out the cumbersome 12 foot ladder to reach our 16 foot ceilings. We use mostly the 48 inch length, but in several areas we needed shorter versions. The 24 inch did the job perfectly.
