There are a lot of mechanical parts to this so the first thing to go was the rotating feature, now 1 fan turns at a lesser rpm than the other

A Mistake

We are on our third set of fans in 5 years. We purchased two of these fans when we built our home. The baskets around the fans rusted and they were replaced. It happened again and they were replaced. Now, they are rusted again and I am told they are only under warranty for one year. Minka Aire explained they do not guarantee their fixtures to withstand extreme conditions such as salt air over long periods of time. Someone should have mentioned this to us, rather than telling us they were good in the toughest environments.

The Gyro Wet 42 is reported by customers as a real value for an outside fan... the dual movement and the strong motor make this a very versatile fan for all exterior applications. I was at a party where this fan was in use and it fully circulated air in a large patio! If you're looking for a great versatile strong fan for your patio or Gazebo this is the fan....

Love this fan!

We built a large screened in porch and I was looking for something with a wow factor. Everyone comments on this fan. It has three speeds. We rarely need to put it on high and the ceiling is very tall on the porch. One thought, I had to buy a longer pole. It looks might more elegant when it drops down further from the ceiling.
