Glo-Ball Floor Lamp

I bought two of these and put them on each side of my couch. They look great and provide a very smooth light. This is a timeless design and I recommend it to everyone!

Excellent minimal design with beautiful materials. Very bright on high and dims down perfectly. The 50 inch height is great from small rooms and apartments where the ceilings are not too high. A real keeper.

I looked for a dimmable floor lamp for many months to stand near my new sofa. This meant I needed to buy the Halogen version because the fluorescent bulbs are either not dimmable or they have restricted dimming settings. It was important that it had the power to light up the whole living room as well as dim to a subtle glow. Most floor lamps had 100W or 150W bulbs which wouldn't give me the range I wanted. I also don't like seeing a bare bulb. This lamp is perfect. It is solidly made - heavy and will not be toppled over. The Glo-Ball shade is easy to lift off for changing the bulb. It makes a striking statement, it's well-designed, the light is beautiful. You can look right at the Glo-Ball when fully lit and it is still easy on the eye. The lamp was messengered from the warehouse because I happen to live close by so that made the delivery process even better. The lamp was very well packaged in 2 cartons. My only problem was the halogen bulb was in an already-opened box and was broken. However, I bought a new bulb and emailed customer service about the damaged bulb. They responded right away, apologized and issued credit immediately as soon as I sent a scan of the receipt. I will definitely buy from YLighting again.
