Inspired by the cymbals of famous drummer, Ginger Baker, the Marset Ginger LED Wall Lamp is an exceptionally slender conductor of light. The high-pressure shaping of wood and paper yields an ultra-thin shade, brilliantly amplifying the LED light outward with a white interior. The aluminum structure holds the warm LED module which is outfitted with special optics to open up the light beam. In an effort to dissipate the LED light temperature, designer Joan Gaspar decided to thicken the aluminum instead of carving out grooves in the metal holder. Perched on an adjustable metal arm, the user is able to swing the lamp from right to left, making the Ginger an ideal bedside or tabletop companion.

Comments about Ginger LED Wall Lamp

The Ginger wall lamp was purchased for a client's 13 yr. old teenage son's bedroom. So the sleek yet powerful design exudes just what a teenage boy is drawn to. Pros include the clever design referencing England's rock at its best - the iconic drummer Ginger Baker and it's lightweight mobility assists the lamp head to move smoothly and stay in place when rotated to a certain spot. It was problem free to install and the LED lamp keeps the cymbal inspired head cover from becoming hot which would be a terrible downside to a fabulous lamp, so thankfully the LED is yet another Pro. I'm sure the copper finish would be striking but the Wenger more appropriately fit the masculine, subtle vibe we were after. It's a big YES on this lamp #Sweepstakes.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Marset

Marset was established in 1942 as a family business, not making lighting, but as a foundry. That foundation in casting metals did eventually segue into lighting design, however, with Francisco Marset formally establishing Marset Illuminacion in 1965. The decades spent experimenting with and molding metal translated well into the contemporary lighting industry: manipulating all kinds of materials to create unexpected, atmospheric lighting effects.
