Task lamp that blends seamlessly into my interior as it's simple and elegant. But, it's halogen - despite what the lumens page says about it taking an LED bulb - and halogen is hot. One can replace the halogen with an LED bulb IF you can find a non-directional one with the GU10 base, but it seems those aren't made.

I bought this lamp for my husband who has mild macular degeneration. The lamp is beautiful and (almost) just what we needed, adjustable, unobtrusive, and elegant. Unfortunately, although the web page states otherwise because I checked before purchasing, this lamp will only take a halogen bulb, which would be too hot next to his face. After many go-arounds, trying to find the appropriate LED, all agree that no one makes this type. Now, I have to pack up this lamp and send it back. This is not easy for an 86 YO with a partially disabled and nearly blind 96 YO husband. Thank goodness we saved the packing materials. I hope that the folks at UPS will help me get this into the store, provided that we had been able wrestle it into our Corolla.
