Saarinen Womb Chair

I purchased the Knoll Saarinen Medium Womb Chair in classic boucle crimson and I love the way the chair looks. It is a statement piece in the family room. It looks stunning and the size does not overwhelm the room. The only thing is it is not the most comfortable chair. Maybe it has to be broken in?????? Would buy it again in a hear beat, because it is like a piece of art.

Obviously iconic and comfortable, but also the best thing I own. I'm a fine home furnishings fanatic and a twenty-something on a budget, so before buying I would seek out Womb Chairs in public spaces to try out and sit in. The differences between the real deals and the knock-offs are pretty apparent. The quality of an authentic chair is well worth the price and I can tell mine will last a lifetime. Also, Knoll's upholstery selection is fantastic and their swatch samples are large, which is helpful when trying to imagine the piece in your space. I bought my chair during a Knoll Sale when their residential delivery fee is waived--YLiving's white-glove delivery service was excellent and FREE. Two pleasant delivery men carried my chair up a flight of stairs and into my living room, in and out in under 5 minutes. No boxes or packaging materials--amazing! Lead time was a little longer than advertised--took around 13 weeks to receive--but since each piece is custom made, I'll allow it. My chair is in Neutral Classic Boucle fabric.

I purchased the classic boucle Womb Chair and Ottoman in crimson for my living room and absolutely love it! It's classic design and pop of color really add to the aesthetic in the room. Plus, it's incredibly comfortable, which doesn't hurt either!

I have been waiting to buy the Womb Chair for years. YLiving offered great choices in Knoll fabrics and the medium chair fits perfectly in my home. I ordered it in a bright red colored fabric. The chair is beautiful and makes an elegant statement. Even my black cat thinks it is the perfect place for a nap. I was especially pleased with the delivery service which was professional and courteous.
