008FP Framing Projector Accessory

The frames are not as smooth to adjust as I would like. There is no way to focus a sharp edge except by setting the light at a specific distance from the target image. A more precise lighting instrument would in a higher price range. All in all however, it does do the job it was made for. I am satisfied with the product.

The framing projector has given me a result far beyond what I expected. Far and away the best solution for illuminating artwork that I have found. Concentrating the light on the art with no spill gives each piece "pop". I use the WAC two circuit track with both circuits on independent dimmers. The ability to marry utility room lighting with specialty art lighting is spectacular!

I am happy with the fixture. We are using it in a stairwell to light a very large painting and so we are using 3 fixtures with a MR16 spot bulbs. I would recommend it for lighting your art work but must install it no farther than 10 feet from painting. Great product for the price.!

I purchased 4 pairs (model 007 fixture) and (model 008) projector years ago. The projector frames art work exactly as I had expected. The only problem is that aim point of the light tends to drop about 2 inches over the course of 18 months. Hardly surprising give that it is an AC fixture. Same problem happens with professional theatrical light fixtures--friction fittings will always loosen over time.

it works fairly well, and for the price am quite pleased. i use it to illuminate a painting in my hallway and overall, am happy with the product. It is nice because if i dont want to use it as a projector, then i simply remove the lens and it is a regular track light like the others on the track.
