A re-introduction of an iconic Ettore Sottsass torchiere, circa 1982. The Artemide Callimaco LED Floor Lamp was designed by Sottsass during his post-modern Memphis years--and it shows. The Callimaco features an adventuresome mix of big colors, shapes differently scaled, an industrial-grade dimmer switch and, in the middle of it all, the incongruous (but perhaps handy) polished chrome cabinet handle.

Comments about Callimaco LED Floor Lamp

The lamp is exactly what I wanted and had been searching for over 5 yrs. While the box arrived terribly damaged during shipping , the lamps was not damaged . I called customer service and they were very helpful in guiding me should the lamp fail to perform .

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Beautiful Design but Lousy Functionality

It is a lovely design and comes well packaged. But the dimmer is not variable and my lamp was either full on at 300 watts or about 25 % at 75 watts. Nothing in between. I had to send it back because it did was not useful to me in only these two ranges.

Artemide

Artemide takes its name from Artemis, the Greek goddess of the moon—a reflection of the brand’s ethos in creating fixtures that deliver an elegant, ethereal glow. Founded in Milan in 1960 by Ernesto Gismondi and Sergio Mazza, Artemide has been a driving force in Italian modern design.
