Inspired by the cymbals of famous drummer, Ginger Baker, the Marset Ginger LED Arc Floor Lamp is an exceptionally slender conductor of light with a far reach. The high-pressure shaping of wood and paper yields the ultra-thinness of the shade, brilliantly amplifying the LED light outward with a white interior. The aluminum structure holds the warm LED module which is outfitted with special optics to open up the light beam. In an effort to dissipate the LED light temperature, designer Joan Gaspar decided to thicken the aluminum instead of carving out grooves in the metal holder. The stem arches at a ninety degree angle, suspending the shade with a slightly adjustable height and hanging length.

Great Light...Just one issue

The light sensor is on the light itself. It currently goes on by itself, in the middle of the night. Not great if you have it in your bedroom and kind of spooky when you see it on in your living room when you wake up. This flaw has been reported to th manufacturer.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

Coolest Floor Lamp

The LED-Ginger floor lamp is a great artistic feature to my living room. The 3 light phases are very cool and just the swipe of my hand can change the light. I bought the XXL 60 and it is a substantial and sturdy light. You will need two people to assemble since the base and stem are very heavy!

Marset was established in 1942 as a family business, not making lighting, but as a foundry. That foundation in casting metals did eventually segue into lighting design, however, with Francisco Marset formally establishing Marset Illuminacion in 1965. The decades spent experimenting with and molding metal translated well into the contemporary lighting industry: manipulating all kinds of materials to create unexpected, atmospheric lighting effects.
