Comments about TMM Floor Lamp
A classic but not overused Santa and Cole lamp that adds modernist feel with warmth. This is my second one, and Lumens is a trusted source to find lighting design icons at reasonable prices and with very fast delivery. Flawless product and smooth buying and delivery.

A Midcentury Modern Classic
Verified Buyer
A simple but elegant floor lamp with clean lines and a modern style. Miguel Mila designed this in the early 60's using simple shapes and parts to create an object that's timeless, functional and appealing. The exposed power cord does double duty as an on/off pull switch and adds to the charm of the lamp. The shade provides a soft warm light to a room.
Floor Lamp Thoughts

This is a beautiful lamp. It's expensive, so I had high quality expectations, on which it mostly delivers. The wood base and shade are well designed and very well made. It was very quick and easy to assemble. It functions well as gives off a lot of light. However the power chord is cheap black plastic electrical cable has the electrical rating code stamp multiple times along the length of the chord. For the premium cost, this chord should not be black plastic, it should be a black cloth wrapped chord. Also the on-off mechanism feels very flimsy and will likely not hold up with use over the coming years. Although I really like this lamp, I would not have bought it had I realized it had these features.
love this lamp
We've had great luck with purchases over the past few years and this floor lamp by Mila is no exception. Looks (and works) beautifully. It comes unassembled, but was very easy to put together. Note that the pictures on Ylighting show a few different finishes. The one that ships is Wenge one.
Not for me
I thought this lamp was going to work out really well for my home, but there were a few things with it that just didn't work out. One, the shade. It's made of paper and feels rather thin. The color it illuminates with wasn't all that warm either. Second, the pull cord. It's a rather ingenious idea (pulling the power cord to turn on/off) but at least on mine it didn't work half the time. You'd pull, then pull again, and sometimes even more times, and then it would 'click' on. It's clever, but the execution of it felt flimsy. Considering the retail price I was expecting much better quality construction, but that simply wasn't the case.
Santa & Cole
Javier Santa, Gabriel Cole and Nina Maso started Barcelona-based Santa and Cole in 1985. The three focused on industrial design and sought out modern light fixtures that provided more than mass or function. They were looking for pieces that instilled a sense of serenity, culture and well-being.
