The Dune Pendant from Maxim Lighting encases light within a bell-shaped glass dome scored with concentric ribbed patterns. Each groove in the textured glass creates a different refraction angle, turning a single light source into multidimensional illumination. The clean lines of the thin black stem contrast with the intricate surface details of the shade. This fixture works particularly well over smaller dining tables or kitchen islands where a focused downlight is needed. The dimmable design adapts easily from working environments to dining settings.

Maxim Lighting

Back in 1965, Jacob Sperling came to Los Angeles to study aeronautical engineering. Inspired by a job working for a lighting retailer, he turned his mechanical skills to the manufacture of lighting fixtures, building them in his garage and selling them out of his station wagon. In 1970, he brought brother Zvi on to help, and Maxim Lighting was born.
