Its elongated wooden ovoid shade stretches twisted threads of gauzy Ecru Cotton across it, shaping and filtering the light within. Each piece is made to order in France, using a rounded wooden shade frame of natural beech from French forests, balanced atop a slender brass rod. The rich metal contrasts well with the natural wood grain, while the slender cotton threads of the shade cast an even layer of light in all directions, with slim, shadowy accents.
