The Honeycomb Side Chair from Currey & Company was built with a surrealist sensibility; the seat and back are built from an open honeycomb grid that reduces the visual mass of the chair considerably. Cast from aluminum, the piece has the solidity of metal, while the perforated pattern gives it a presence that reads more sculptural than heavy. The handmade nature of the casting means the finish carries slight variations from one piece to the next.
