Driven by the desire to showcase the skill and artistry of sculpted Czech glass, the duo created this piece with the unpredictable nature of liquid glass in mind. A circular wallplate fastens the piece in place while a slender brass tube drops to a layered, dripping glass form containing its light source at its end.
SkLO is a collaborative design company founded by Pavel Hanousek, Karen Gilbert, and Paul Pavlak. Based out of Healdsburg, CA, the design team collaborates with master glassmakers in the Czech Republic. SkLO glass is built to order, artisans skillfully hand-blow glass for each of the lighting fixtures and objects in the collection. As such each piece is unique, and slight variation is welcome, emphasizing the beauty of the handmade process with every design.
