Comfortable and sleek classic design with minimal presence in an otherwise rather cluttered space. Not a lounge kind of a chair, but a good reading chair, and very nice for talking, watching TV, etc.

The Eames Aluminum Lounge Chair & Ottoman have been one of those pieces of furniture I"ve always wanted. Classic styling in my opinion. I wanted a slim, modern lounge chair for a small corner in my living room. This chair fits the bill nicely much more than an upholstered arm chair would. It's very compact. I did have an interesting experience with the leather when I received it though. In building these chairs, Herman Miller stretches the leather quite tightly over the frame. The result is that you kind of lose some of the plush, soft, graininess of natural leather. The finished product has quite a different feel than the leather sample (of identical material). After a week of use though, it is starting to soften up and take on more normal "leather like" qualities. I liken this to a new pair of leather shoes... Needs to be broken in. YLiving provided excellent customer service and was always very helpful throughout the entire order process and with my follow up questions on the leather. I would not hesitate to order from them again.

Herman Miller

One of the most influential brands in American design, renowned for pioneering iconic mid-century modern furniture and lighting solutions, Herman Miller began its storied history in 1905 as Star Furniture Co. in Zeeland, Michigan. In 1923, businessman Herman Miller lent his name to the company, signaling a new chapter under the visionary leadership of his son-in-law, D.J. De Pree. This marked the beginning of Herman Miller's transformation into kingmakers of mid-century design.
